I use EventIDE in our psychophysics and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) labs. I am very impressed with its interface and structure, its visual display of the functional elements and experiment structure (missed in other software!) are very insightful and helpful in planning, building and updating experiments. Also, the ever-cumbersome chore of debugging is made much easier with the aid of useful feedback and pointers to the faulty parts of the experiment and code. A simple experiment can be quickly built with little or no additional scripting, but the program’s scripting for more sophisticated experiments is easy to do. In short, EventIDE is a very cool, useful and powerful alternative to other stimulus presentation packages.
