EventIDE installation requires installing the extended version of DirectX 9.0. We plan to remove this dependency by switching to another DirectX engine, that has also a support for newer DirectX 11. Still, DirectX 9 will remain a main graphics engine because DirectX 11 is not available on Windows XP.
